Super Staddens. These are Stadden’s Master Paintings and were created only as a private commission. Apart from the wonderful artistry, they are often distinguished by the red border he added to the base and include both mini dioramas and individual figures.
A Super Stadden - Comrades of the Battle. A Grenadier drummer and Hussar of the 4e Regiment meet after the battle. The drummer in full uniform carries his drumsticks in one hand, the other resting on his hip. His drum is on the ground by his feet. The Hussar, with red pelisse over his shoulder, is resting on the hilt of his sword. On the ground are the accoutrements of a fallen comrade, a grenadier bearskin, musket and backpack. Stadden’s paintwork is exceptional; minor paint wear on the drummer’s legs; c.1965.
