Stadden Prototype Models. These one-of-a-kind 54mm prototype models were never produced as commercial figures. Prototype Models were animated and painted by Stadden himself and differ from production models in other respects; accoutrements and certain items of equipment were hand made by him as described in the piece below.
Cuirassier of the 3e Regiment cleaning his breast plate armour. This figure wears the 1812 regulation blue coat with red collar, cuff patches and turnbacks, and red epaulettes. The coat is unbuttoned at the top revealing his undershirt, never seen in a commercial figure. His left foot is resting on a rock as he polishes the cuirasse balanced on his knee. His helmet rests on a corner of the rock and the horse-hair tail is made from individual strands, not solid cast. The cuirasse is a special hollow casting with the red lining at waist and armpits included. There is a large paint chip on the right ankle and a much smaller imperfection on the left foot. |
