| We are proud to offer connoisseurs and collectors of Military Art original paintings by world-renowned artist, Patrice Courcelle. Patrice lives in Waterloo, Belgium, practically on the famous Battlefield itself. Born in France in 1950, he is entirely self-taught and has been a professional painter and illustrator for almost twenty-five years. His work is found in numerous public and private galleries and collections and is widely published in British and Continental books and magazines, most notably Osprey Publishing, UK, where he is a member of the regular team of Osprey artists, and with Tradition of Paris. His prodigious appetite for research has resulted in frequent discovery of new sources of original documentation and reference material relating to the 1e Empire period, discoveries which guarantee both his refreshing originality and unique perspective. We are his sole representative and agent in North America (Canada, U.S.A and Mexico). Collectors may place commissions with The Red Lancer for paintings by Patrice.
Featured in this section are original paintings completed for Osprey and published in the Men-at-Arms and Elite series. We are proud to offer these studies of military costume, created with the mediums of watercolour, gouache and acrylic; the paintings are each 10 5/8 x 14 3/8 inches (27cm x 36cm). |
