Garde du Roi Bearskin (Velti) Plate.  This is the extremely rare plaque de bonnet a poil or bearskin plate (Velti) for a Grenadier of the Garde du Roi or the Royal Guard of Napoleon, the King of Italy.  This example is a very rare specimen as the plates were silver plated before issue and this one in the original copper was never plated for use.  For display, it is mounted on Imperial green silk cloth in a gilt wood frame.
