Troupes Francaises: Uniforms of the First Empire between 1805 and 1815.  Martinet, Paris 1810 to 1815.  A de luxe collection of 64 hand coloured plates of the uniforms of the Grande Armee, from Pupil to Veteran, including 30 on foot and 34 mounted.  Each plate laid down on acid free cream art stock within a hand drawn silver line border.  Bound in a magnificent full Imperial green morocco with Italian marbled end papers, the spine with bands, the panels with gilt decorative devices and titles, the front and rear covers with an elaborate 3/4 inch wide double line gilt border with a single chain link blind border within; t.e.g.  Some minor edge browning on a few plates.  Complete with matching slipcase; oblong folio, 16 x 12 inches.  E/MINT
