Cantiniere with Brandy Barrel.  A delightful representation of this mainstay of  French Napoleonic armies.  She wears a Grenadier’s long tailed blue jacket with a Tricoleur flag over her shoulders as a shawl, a white apron and blue skirt below and a bicorn hat with cocarde.  The brandy barrel, supported by a rope, is carried under one arm.  6103 St. Petersburg Collection.
