The 3rd Hussars served on the Western Front throughout the War, fighting dismounted at the Battles of Ypres in 1914 and 1915; the Regiment saw action mounted in the Battle of Amiens in 1918. The author commanded the Regiment from 1915 to 1921. Fine modern three quarter blue morocco binding, the spine with bands, gilt title and panel line borders and date 1925 at the base, the Regimental crest laid in on the front cover, slight water staining to lower rear leaf corners.
